Prince Harry and The Duchess of Sussex today announced they are expecting their second child.

The couple’s spokesperson released a statement, saying:

We can confirm that Archie is going to be a big brother. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are overjoyed to be expecting their second child.

The couple released a black and white photo of themselves lying under a tree taken by their friend Misan Harriman.

The photographer posted a statement on Twitter, saying:

Meg, I was there at your wedding to witness this love story begin, and my friend, I am honoured to capture it grow. Congratulations to The Duke and Duchess of Sussex on this joyous news!

The photographer said the photo was shot using an iPad, which is unfortunate, in my opinion, because the image is pretty grainy. I wish they had used a proper camera.

Harry and Meghan didn’t release a due month or anything, but maybe Sussex Baby #2 will be here sometime in early summer?

A Buckingham Palace spokesperson said Her Majesty, the Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales and entire family are “delighted” and wish them well. [Twitter]

Congratulations to Harry and Meghan! I hope all goes well for the remainder of Meghan’s pregnancy. As a royal watcher, though, I do hope they release a photo of the baby/family and the baby’s name after he/she is born.
